Afya Limited, Brazil’s largest medical education group, has reported strong financial and operational performance for 2025 while outlining plans to expand artificial intelligence across its medical education and healthcare services. According to its 2025 Integrated Report, revenue increased 11.9% year over year to R$3.7 billion, while adjusted EBITDA rose 15.4% to R$1.68 billion, representing a margin of 45.4%. The company also recorded free cash flow of R$1.06 billion and reported serving approximately 301,000 users through its physician-focused ecosystem. A major part of its strategy involves integrating AI into educational and professional platforms to improve learning, reliability and scalability. Afya also highlighted its dedicated AI governance framework to address ethical and data privacy considerations. On sustainability, the company said it exceeded the environmental, social and governance targets linked to its International Finance Corporation sustainability-linked loan for the second consecutive year. It has also incorporated climate-related risks into its enterprise risk management framework.
