Turkmenistan has announced plans to train artificial intelligence specialists in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union as part of its push to develop a modern digital economy. The initiative will include professional seminars and training programs designed to equip local communications and IT experts with skills in AI algorithms, data systems, and advanced information technologies. Government officials highlighted that building a strong pool of qualified specialists is essential for the country’s long-term technological development. The project was approved at a Cabinet meeting chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, who emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure into national development strategies. Alongside AI training plans, the government is also preparing national celebrations and cultural events, reflecting a broader agenda that combines technological modernization with social and cultural priorities.
