Tunisia and Algeria have launched a shared digital platform designed to accelerate artificial intelligence research and strengthen academic cooperation between the two countries. Announced at an international forum on emerging technologies, the initiative connects universities, research laboratories, and scientific institutions through a unified digital system for data exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. The platform aims to reduce fragmentation in research efforts and improve coordination among experts working on AI applications. The project is intended to speed up innovation in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and industry by enabling joint research and more efficient use of academic resources. It builds on previous cross-border agreements between universities in both countries, which emphasized deeper integration in higher education and scientific development.
