Azerbaijan is advancing talks with U.S.-based artificial intelligence company Haimaker to develop new AI infrastructure, including a data center and cloud computing platform, according to statements shared by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov. The discussions focus on strengthening the country’s digital backbone and expanding its capacity to support advanced AI applications. A key proposal under review is the establishment of infrastructure in the Alat Free Economic Zone, which could serve as a strategic hub for cloud services and AI-driven digital systems. The initiative also includes cooperation on regulatory frameworks and technology transfer to support long-term ecosystem development. The company’s system enables flexible switching between models based on performance, cost, and task requirements, making it attractive for both government and enterprise use. The partnership aligns with Azerbaijan’s broader digital transformation goals, aiming to modernize infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of AI across public and private sectors.
