The state of Sikkim has invited public suggestions for shaping its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy 2025, as part of efforts to build a citizen-centric and digitally empowered governance system. The initiative is being led by the Department of Information Technology in alignment with India’s broader “Digital India” vision and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s national AI strategy. Officials aim to develop a trustworthy and inclusive AI ecosystem that supports innovation while ensuring ethical and responsible use of emerging technologies. Citizens, experts, and stakeholders have been encouraged to share feedback on key priorities such as digital infrastructure, data governance, AI education, and public service delivery improvements. The consultation process is open through the state’s official portal, where submissions can be made online via Sikkim Government AI Policy Suggestions Portal. The policy is expected to guide how AI is adopted across governance, economy, and public welfare systems in the coming years.
