The Society for Human Resource Management Middle East and North Africa (SHRM MENA) Annual Conference and Expo 2026 will focus on practical applications of artificial intelligence in human resources, with the introduction of the region’s first HR and AI Lab. Scheduled for December 16 and 17 at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, the eighth edition of the conference will bring together human resources, business and technology leaders to explore how artificial intelligence is changing recruitment, employee development and workforce management. The new lab will offer hands-on activities and real-world case studies, helping participants develop an AI Human Resources Blueprint that they can apply within their organisations. The event will also cover workforce transformation, employee expectations, talent mobility, people analytics, performance management and leadership. Speakers include Ohood Bint Khalfan Al Roumi, the United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, and Achal Khanna, Chief Executive Officer of SHRM Asia-Pacific and Middle East and North Africa. Dina Kadry, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for PepsiCo International Beverages, is also among the featured industry leaders. The conference will conclude with the SHRM MENA Star Awards 2026 on December 17, recognising contributions across the human resources sector. The event aims to help organisations adopt artificial intelligence responsibly while keeping employees, trust and business value central to workplace transformation.
