A new survey of Irish businesses suggests that artificial intelligence is not expected to significantly reduce employment levels in most companies, even as its use continues to expand across workplaces. According to findings from a workforce study conducted by Glandore, just over half of employers believe AI will have little to no impact on overall headcount, though many acknowledge the need for new digital skills as technology evolves. The report shows that while 51.7% of respondents expect staffing levels to remain stable, a smaller portion anticipate job losses or growth linked directly to AI adoption. The survey also highlights broader workplace trends, including widespread hybrid working models and a strong preference for flexibility among employees.
