One major initiative involves a partnership with Overview Energy, which aims to collect solar power in orbit and transmit it back to Earth. The energy would be converted on the ground to support continuous electricity supply, potentially enabling round-the-clock renewable generation. The project is expected to reach early demonstration stages in the coming years, with commercial deployment targeted later in the decade. In a parallel move, Meta has also partnered with Noon Energy to secure ultra-long energy storage capacity. The system is designed to store power for up to 100 hours, offering resilience during grid shortages and supporting uninterrupted AI operations.
