Brazil-based startup Maggu AI has raised $3.7 million in a funding round led by DGF Capital, with participation from Norte Ventures, Latitud, and Airborne Ventures, to scale its artificial intelligence platform for pharmaceutical retail. The company develops AI tools that integrate directly into existing pharmacy management systems, helping pharmacists and frontline staff make faster and more informed recommendations in real time. Its platform can suggest product usage guidance, complementary items, and care instructions based on customer needs, all while operating within existing workflows without requiring system replacements. Maggu AI says it is already connected to around 17,500 pharmacies, with more than 2,000 actively using its tools across Brazil, supported by a product database covering over 1.6 million items. The new funding will be used to expand its pharmacy network, improve AI model performance, and grow its engineering and product teams as demand for AI-driven healthcare retail solutions continues to increase.
