As part of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, Ireland will host the International AI Summit at the RDS Dublin on 14 October 2026, officially launching European AI Innovation Month in partnership with the European Commission. The initiative will run across Europe from October to November, with additional events continuing through Brussels, and aims to accelerate the development and deployment of artificial intelligence across industries and public services. Under the theme “Harnessing AI to Revolutionise Europe’s Competitiveness,” the summit will focus on applied AI, infrastructure development, and sector-specific value creation, highlighting Europe’s transition from research-driven innovation to real-world AI deployment. Key discussions will explore generative AI, agentic systems, frontier models, and emerging technologies such as quantum convergence, all within a framework of responsible and trusted innovation. The event will bring together EU policymakers, industry leaders, and global AI experts, showcasing how collaboration between government and business can strengthen Europe’s digital competitiveness and drive long-term economic and societal impact.
