Google has expanded access to its Gemini Spark AI assistant, making it available to all Google AI Pro subscribers in the United States. Previously limited to the premium Google AI Ultra plan, which costs $100 per month, the agentic assistant can now be used through the $20-per-month AI Pro subscription, significantly lowering the cost of access. Introduced as a beta feature during Google I/O 2026, Gemini Spark is powered by Gemini 3.5 and operates in the cloud, allowing it to continue completing tasks even after users close the app or lock their devices. It can manage emails and calendars, draft responses, summarize meeting notes into reports, edit Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and integrate with services including Canva, Dropbox, Google Keep, and Google Tasks. For now, Gemini Spark is available only in English for personal Google accounts in the US. Users must be at least 18 years old, with Google Keep Activity enabled. Google says support for additional countries will be introduced in the future, while work and school accounts remain excluded from the current rollout.
