Industry leaders and policymakers argue the spinout will help Canada better compete in the rapidly growing AI hardware market by enabling faster innovation cycles and stronger industrial capacity. Executives say the centre’s current public structure limits its ability to offer competitive contracts, pushing some clients to seek alternative suppliers.
