Algeria has introduced a 12-week Artificial Intelligence training programme aimed at developing highly skilled talent for future-focused industries. Launched by the Ministry of Formation and Vocational Education, the initiative shifts away from traditional teaching methods toward a competency-based model that emphasizes hands-on projects, real-world simulations, and experiential learning. The programme combines intensive theoretical instruction with practical development, ending in evaluated projects based on innovation, performance, and measurable impact. Alongside the training, authorities have established a new business incubator at the National Institute for Professional Training to support start-ups and transform ideas into viable enterprises. This initiative reflects a broader national effort to modernise vocational education, align skills with evolving labour market demands, and prepare young professionals to participate in emerging digital economies and global value chains.
