In Namibia, stakeholders from economics, technology, and policy sectors are increasingly viewing artificial intelligence as a key driver of national development. A recent public lecture hosted by the Economic Association of Namibia in collaboration with the Hans Seidel Foundation explored how AI can address major economic and social challenges while boosting productivity and skills development. Technology expert Chandan Chauhan emphasized that AI is evolving into an “autonomous teammate” capable of reasoning and executing complex tasks. He highlighted global investment trends showing rapid expansion of AI infrastructure, describing it as a foundational shift in computing and economic systems.
