The study finds that roles involving data processing, administration, marketing, and analysis are among the most exposed, while jobs requiring physical presence such as hospitality, construction, and care services remain comparatively safer in the short term. The research highlights that around 20% of Spanish companies have already integrated AI into daily operations, leading more to task transformation than full job elimination. Experts say this shift is creating a divide between workers who adapt to AI tools and those in repetitive digital roles who may face greater pressure on wages and job security. Spain’s labour market is considered slightly more exposed than the OECD average due to its large service-based economy.
