Wipro has announced a $70.8 million acquisition of select customer contracts from California-based Alpha Net Group, in a move aimed at expanding its artificial intelligence consulting capabilities. The deal, disclosed in a regulatory filing, is expected to close by June 30. The acquired contracts, which generated nearly $100 million in revenue over the past three years, will bring new clients, workforce resources, and service relationships into Wipro’s portfolio. The company said the move will enhance its AI-powered application services and strengthen its consulting-led growth strategy. Wipro is increasingly focusing on AI as a core driver of its business, particularly as traditional IT services face slowing growth and pricing pressure.
