Uruguay XXI led a national delegation of technology companies to eMerge Americas 2026 in Miami, aiming to expand international markets, attract investment, and strengthen Uruguay’s position as a regional tech hub. The delegation included firms working in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, automation, and digital transformation—such as companies focused on AI-driven business tools, operational intelligence, and generative AI applications. Supported by the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI), the initiative reflects Uruguay’s broader strategy of integrating its technology ecosystem into global venture capital networks and innovation markets, including parallel participation in the VC Latam Summit. With more than 500 IT companies and strong per-capita tech exports, Uruguay is positioning itself as a stable, talent-rich destination for digital investment, using events like eMerge Americas to deepen ties with North American and Latin American investors while reinforcing its knowledge-based economic model.
