Grokipedia Appears to Have Stopped Processing Suggested Edits

Grokipedia, the artificial intelligence-generated encyclopedia launched by xAI in October 2025, appears to have stopped reviewing and processing suggested edits since late April 2026, according to an analysis published by Lawfare. The platform was designed as a machine-written alternative to Wikipedia, with artificial intelligence systems responsible for drafting, updating and maintaining its articles. Users can submit proposed changes through the website, where suggestions are normally placed into an “in review” queue before being approved or rejected and eventually implemented. However, researchers found that no accepted or rejected corrections had been recorded for roughly three months. Their analysis of 34,519 pages containing more than 225,000 suggested edits found no recent decisions. The researchers also identified problems with Grokipedia’s edit logs, including previously approved changes that were later marked as rejected after a major rewrite appeared to break the system’s text references. More than 13,000 user suggestions remain unresolved, while automated systems that previously generated and processed edits appear to have stopped operating. The findings raise questions about transparency, reliability and accountability in artificial intelligence-generated reference platforms.
