CSL Urges Responsible AI Adoption to Support Samoa’s Digital Growth

Computer Services Limited (CSL), a long-standing ICT company in Samoa, is calling for responsible adoption of artificial intelligence as the country continues its digital transformation. The company says AI has strong potential to improve education, healthcare, and business efficiency, but stresses that its use must remain aligned with Samoan values of faith, culture, and family. CSL Chief Executive Officer David Main said AI should be viewed as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for people. He noted that with proper guidance, the technology can increase productivity and create new opportunities while keeping communities at the centre of development. The company has witnessed Samoa’s technological evolution over several decades, from early computer systems to cloud computing and now AI-driven tools.
