Artificial intelligence adoption across Central Asia remains uneven but is gradually expanding. Kazakhstan currently leads the region in generative AI usage, while countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan report lower levels of adoption. Analysts attribute these differences primarily to disparities in digital infrastructure, investment and workforce training. Nevertheless, governments across the region are increasingly exploring AI technologies for applications such as digital government services, economic planning and smart infrastructure. Experts believe Central Asia could experience rapid AI growth if investments in education and computing infrastructure continue to expand.
