The Trump administration has launched America.gov, a new digital platform designed to give Americans a single online entry point for federal government information and services. The platform uses generative artificial intelligence to help users find information, receive answers in plain language and, as additional services are integrated, complete selected government tasks online. The White House said America.gov is intended to reduce the need for people to navigate multiple federal agency websites. Users can currently ask questions and receive updated information, while future services are expected to include tasks such as passport renewal and Medicare enrollment. An executive order signed on September 29 directs federal agencies to integrate eligible public-facing services with America.gov. The General Services Administration and Office of Management and Budget will oversee key parts of the implementation, while Login.gov is planned to provide authentication for the platform. The administration said the platform will include security, privacy and data-minimization measures while allowing agencies to retain control of their own records and responsibilities. The rollout is expected to expand as agencies connect additional services to the platform.
