Artificial intelligence is transforming mineral exploration in Tanzania as mining companies increasingly adopt advanced technologies to identify new gold deposits in the country’s Lake Zone. London-listed Amigo Resources PLC recently announced that AI-assisted exploration at its Mojimoto Project identified nine promising gold licence areas, opening new opportunities for gold prospecting in one of Africa’s richest mining regions. The company combined artificial intelligence with geological surveys, geochemical sampling, and micro-seismic analysis to improve the accuracy of detecting underground mineralisation. By analysing large volumes of geological data, AI systems can identify hidden patterns and potential gold-bearing structures faster than traditional exploration methods.
