In Nigeria, AI data marketplace Kled AI has temporarily withdrawn its application from the local App Store, citing extremely high levels of fraudulent and unusable data submissions from users. The company reported that a large share of uploads from the country were AI-generated, duplicated, altered, or unrelated content, making them unsuitable for training artificial intelligence systems. According to the platform’s founder, internal reviews of millions of uploads suggested that fraud rates in Nigeria were significantly higher than in other markets, where user-submitted data was largely authentic. The company stated that such patterns increased operational costs and strained its fraud detection systems.
