Italian hospitality technology company Smartness has raised €47 million in Series B funding, marking the largest vertical SaaS round ever recorded for an Italian company in the sector. The round, which includes equity and debt, was led by United Ventures and CDP Venture Capital with participation from Partech. Founded in 2020 and based in Trentino, Smartness provides AI-powered software tools for the hospitality industry, helping hotels and rental operators automate tasks such as pricing, customer management, marketing, accounting, and operational workflows. The company has evolved from a pricing tool into a broader SaaS platform offering CRM and property management systems used across more than 5,000 customers in over 40 countries.
