Kyrgyzstan has launched the Kyrgyzstan AI Supercluster project to build a high-performance innovation environment and develop its own national language model. The initiative, announced by Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Azamat Zhamangulov, aims to ensure that artificial intelligence understands the Kyrgyz language, culture, and traditions. The project includes the creation of a multilingual foundation model, expansion of AI applications in healthcare, education, and agriculture, and the introduction of AI-powered public services. Authorities are also establishing an AI Ethics and Certification Center to ensure safe, transparent, and responsible use of technology. The supercluster will support partnerships with global technology leaders and strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s integration into the international AI ecosystem. Officials say the long-term goal is to develop an “intelligent government” system where AI assistants help citizens access services more efficiently. This digital transformation reflects the country’s broader ambition to modernize governance and build a smart, technology-driven public administration system.
