Kazakhstan is accelerating efforts to position itself as a major technology center in Central Asia through expanded investment in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the country’s goal of achieving full digital transformation within the next three years, highlighting artificial intelligence as a key pillar of national development strategy. A major step in this direction is the upcoming GITEX AI Central Asia & Caucasus, which is expected to strengthen Almaty’s role as a growing IT hub. The city already hosts a significant share of Kazakhstan’s technology companies and has a developing ecosystem of startups, investors, and international partners.
