Google DeepMind has announced a major partnership with the Republic of Korea to accelerate artificial intelligence research and scientific innovation through a new AI-focused campus in Seoul. The initiative, developed in collaboration with South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT, aims to strengthen the country’s AI ecosystem and support breakthroughs in fields such as life sciences, climate science, and advanced computing. The planned AI campus will serve as a collaborative hub connecting researchers, universities, and industry experts with frontier AI models and tools. Institutions including leading Korean universities and national research centers are expected to participate, using advanced systems to explore applications in genomics, weather prediction, energy optimization, and drug discovery.
