The country recorded a substantial trade surplus, reflecting the continued resilience of its export-oriented economy despite global geopolitical uncertainties. A key driver of this growth was the semiconductor sector, which accounts for a major share of national exports. Shipments of chips nearly tripled compared to the same period last year, fueled by technology companies worldwide expanding AI systems that require advanced processing power and high-performance hardware.
