DoorDash has rolled out new AI-powered tools designed to help restaurant merchants onboard faster, improve digital storefronts, and increase customer engagement. The new onboarding system can automatically pull key information such as menus, photos, and operating hours from a merchant’s existing website to quickly create listings on the platform, reducing setup time and manual effort. Merchants can then review and edit the generated content before publishing. The company is also introducing AI-based image enhancement tools that allow restaurants to improve food photography by adjusting lighting, backgrounds, and presentation without altering the actual dishes. Additional features include a video library that lets merchants tag menu items directly in promotional videos, enabling instant ordering, along with analytics on views and sales performance. DoorDash is also launching tools to generate merchant websites and automate marketing campaigns, aiming to help restaurants improve visibility and drive higher conversion rates through more efficient digital operations.
