GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech will bring together over 1,450 exhibitors and startups from more than 130 countries, making it the continent’s largest tech and startup gathering. The event, running from April 7 to 9, is focused on accelerating Africa’s digital transformation through artificial intelligence, innovation, and cross-border collaboration. Organisers say AI could contribute up to $1.2 trillion to Africa’s economy by 2030, and this edition aims to turn ideas into real investment and partnerships. Key highlights include expanded startup showcases, investor participation managing hundreds of billions in assets, and new focus areas such as fintech, future mobility, sports technology, and cybersecurity. Morocco is positioning itself as a regional tech hub, promoting digital sovereignty, strengthening innovation ecosystems, and supporting startups and SMEs to scale across African and global markets through strategic public-private cooperation.
