A regional survey conducted by SAP indicates growing optimism among business leaders about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence across Latin America. The study examined perspectives from executives across multiple countries including Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. Results suggest that many companies are already experimenting with AI tools to enhance decision-making, automate routine tasks and improve customer engagement. Executives reported particular interest in generative AI systems capable of analyzing large datasets and producing actionable insights for business strategy. However, the research also highlights ongoing challenges related to skills shortages and limited digital infrastructure in some markets. Many companies say they must invest significantly in workforce training before AI technologies can be deployed effectively. Despite these obstacles, business leaders increasingly view AI as a key driver of competitiveness in the region’s digital economy.
