Kazakhstan Emerges as Central Asia’s AI Innovation Hub

Kazakhstan is rapidly positioning itself as the leading artificial intelligence ecosystem in Central Asia. The country has launched several initiatives designed to attract AI talent, support startups and expand national computing infrastructure. A major milestone was the deployment of one of the region’s most powerful supercomputers capable of supporting large-scale AI research. The government has also established the Alem.AI international center, which aims to connect universities, startups and investors within a single innovation ecosystem. Policymakers hope these initiatives will help Kazakhstan produce hundreds of AI startups while transforming Astana into a regional hub for machine-learning research.
