AI HR Startup Comp Raises $17.25M Backed by Khosla’s Keith Rabois

A Brazilian HR-technology startup called Comp has raised $17.25 million in Series A funding, with the round led by Khosla Ventures and investor Keith Rabois joining the company’s board. The startup is building an artificial-intelligence platform designed to automate and augment human-resources operations for companies that lack large HR departments. Comp combines software with AI-driven agents capable of handling tasks such as payroll processing, employee onboarding, compliance management and benefits administration. Its founders argue that traditional HR consulting firms and enterprise software tools remain too expensive or complex for many companies in emerging markets. By embedding AI agents directly into HR workflows, Comp hopes to provide companies with a full-service HR capability rather than simply selling productivity software. The investment also highlights growing interest from Silicon Valley venture firms in Latin American AI startups, particularly those building enterprise-automation tools. Investors say the region’s large workforce and expanding digital economy create significant opportunities for AI platforms focused on operational productivity.
