Ethiopia and Liberia have strengthened bilateral relations through the signing of new Memoranda of Understanding focused on education, artificial intelligence, science, and technology. The agreements were signed following high-level talks between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, and are intended to serve as both a strategic framework and practical roadmap for long-term cooperation. Officials from both countries said the partnership will prioritise innovation-driven growth, knowledge exchange, and human capital development, with a focus on leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to support national development goals. Beyond bilateral collaboration, the agreements are also seen as part of a broader effort to enhance regional integration and demonstrate how African countries can work together to advance technological capacity and sustainable economic growth.
