ConfidentialMind has announced an oversubscribed €3.5 million seed funding round to accelerate its mission of building secure, sovereign AI infrastructure software in Europe. The company was founded by Severi Tikkala, Esko Vähämäki, and Henri Dahl with the goal of enabling organizations and governments to run AI and agent systems without exposing sensitive data to external providers. The startup focuses on AI middleware that allows enterprises and nation states to deploy private AI systems while maintaining full control over their data, addressing growing concerns around privacy, security, and dependency on third-party AI platforms. The round includes participation from new investors D11Z. Ventures, the family office of Dieter Schwarz, and Lifeline Ventures, alongside existing backers. The company reports growing international activity, working with global partners across multiple projects. ConfidentialMind states that its technology aims to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in AI by building foundational infrastructure locally and securely.
