The AI Impact Summit 2026, held in New Delhi, marked a major milestone in global cooperation on artificial intelligence, bringing together over 20 heads of state, leading technology CEOs, policymakers, and innovators from more than 100 countries. Hosted from 16–20 February at Bharat Mandapam, the summit focused on building a shared vision for ethical, inclusive, and human-centric AI development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized AI as a transformative force guided by the principles of “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya,” introducing the MANAV framework to ensure moral governance, accountability, inclusivity, and legitimacy in AI systems. Major investment commitments exceeding hundreds of billions of dollars were announced across infrastructure, data centres, and AI innovation hubs. The summit also endorsed the New Delhi Declaration, outlining global cooperation on responsible AI use in areas such as economic growth, healthcare, education, and climate resilience. A key legacy of the event was its inclusive approach, engaging youth and wider public participation in shaping AI’s future.
